So…I saw a lot of movies over the holidays but didn’t write much about them. I’ll take care of catching up over the next few days.
By the way, I talk endlessly about the usual Christmas movie favorites. This year I also looked at The Shop Around the Corner for the first time in awhile. Love that Jimmy Stewart. And, I was reminded of another holiday film that I enjoy but don’t watch all that often (which can be a good thing when taking another look), The Man Who Came to Dinner (1942). Great cast, clever, and emotionally engaging, but one of the bonuses is getting to watch an uncharacteristic soft Bette Davis.
Okay, after this post, look for a string of posts about recent releases.
